Tommy Edwin Kirkwood

Clinic Director

Tommy brings both practical and lived experience to his work in social welfare and employment matters, including personal experience of navigating the Employment Tribunal process and successfully bringing a disability discrimination claim against a previous employer of his. This insight helps him understand, in a grounded way, the pressures and barriers many claimants face. Tommy also has lived experience of disability and recognises the challenges people often encounter when applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Alongside his clinic role, Tommy campaigns for positive change for single parents as a Director of our parent company, Solo Parents United CIC. He is also committed to supporting young people locally: he runs a LGBTQIA+ youth provision in Blackpool and serves as a school governor within a local academy trust primary school.

Our results reflect our dedication to service and support.
